Saju writes the moment a child was born as eight characters. Mia’s own character is 丙, the sun in the sky. The old books picture this sun as warm, generous with everyone, and quick to say what it thinks.
丙 (byeong): one of the ten “heavenly stems”. It stands for the child’s own nature.
Saju (사주, Four Pillars of Destiny) is a Korean system of character analysis rooted in thousands of years of East Asian philosophy. It maps a person's birth year, month, day, and hour onto a framework of the Five Elements (오행: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) and the 60-cycle Sexagenary calendar (만세력). The result is not a fortune — it is a temperament profile: a structured description of innate personality traits, learning styles, relational tendencies, and elemental balance. SoMyung applies this framework specifically to children, helping parents understand why each child is wired differently and how to communicate with them more effectively.

Saju Myeongri is an Eastern philosophical system with thousands of years of history. SoMyung's analysis was designed by SungHa, a certified Myeongri Psychology Counselor (Level 1) who holds a Master of Science in Decision Making and Applied Analytics. The methodology combines traditional Myeongri studies with modern psychology — similar to how MBTI or the Enneagram provides a framework for understanding innate personality types, not predicting the future. SungHa developed SoMyung after applying this approach to raising three children and experiencing firsthand how understanding each child's temperament transformed family communication.
You can still get about 70% of the analysis without the birth time. Three pillars (year, month, day) are enough to identify core temperament and Five Elements balance. If you know the exact time, you'll get a more precise four-pillar analysis.
Use them as a reference for communication style, learning environment, and motivation. For example, a "Fire" temperament child benefits from short focus sessions and active learning. Remember, every child is unique — use this as a starting point, not an absolute guide.
