About the Creator
SungHa
Founder of SoMyung · Certified Myeongri Psychology Counselor · Parent of Three
Why SoMyung Exists
SoMyung was born from a very personal question: why does the same parenting approach work beautifully with one child but create constant friction with another?
As a parent of three children, SungHa observed that each child carried a distinctly different temperament from birth — different rhythms, sensitivities, and ways of engaging with the world. Traditional parenting advice treated children as interchangeable. Saju did not.
After earning her certification as a Myeongri Psychology Counselor (Level 1) — a qualification that bridges traditional Four Pillars astrology with modern counseling psychology — and completing a Master of Science in Decision Analysis from Minerva University, SungHa built SoMyung to make this ancient knowledge accessible, structured, and actionable for modern parents.
The Methodology
SoMyung uses Myeongri Psychology (명리심리학) — a modern academic discipline that applies the Four Pillars of Destiny (사주팔자) as a framework for understanding innate temperament. It is not fortune-telling. It is personality science rooted in thousands of years of systematic observation about how birth timing correlates with natural disposition.
Think of it the way a psychologist might use the MBTI or Enneagram — as a structured vocabulary for describing how a person is wired, not a prediction of what will happen to them.
SoMyung's reports are generated by an AI trained on this framework, combining the traditional Manseryeok (만세력) calendar calculation with SungHa's counseling methodology to produce age-appropriate, actionable guidance for parents.
